Recent projects for CNOOC International 2017-2020 (UK North Sea):
• Successfully modelled saturation and pressure effects for 4D seismic interpretation of Golden Eagle field and carried out sim2seis modelling to calibrate 4D responses, and demonstrated seismic inversion to predict facies distribution for geologic modelling.
• For the HPHT Glengorm field completed rock physics modelling and 4D feasibility study for Life-of-Field-Seismic, a critical component for safe field management.
• Provided seismic processing QC for 4D OBN and 3D reprocessing projects and development geophysics interpretation for field development of Golden Eagle and Glengorm fields.

2011 - 2017 USA; Global Subject Matter Expert, Seismic Inversion
• Delivered consultancy services on geophysical quantitative interpretation, and provided technical assurance, and peer assists globally.
• Designed and implemented a workflow that utilized 3D seismic inversion results to constrain borehole stability modelling, reducing drilling costs by 10% by shortening non-productive time. Presented at Offshore Technology Conference 2016.
• Delivered subject matter expertise for seismic inversion to technical staff teams Shell-wide.
2008 - 2011 Australia; QI Team Lead & Global Inversion Consultant
• Set up the quantitative interpretation team to carry out QI studies to polarize risk for the exploration portfolio. Proactively promoted best use of QI technologies throughout global organisation.
• Predicted commercial hydrocarbons proved by drilling results with 90% success.
• Assessed sub-surface staff training needs, developed and taught an in-house QI course to increase skills and competency.
• Provided reservoir characterization studies for field development planning of Prelude and Clio fields.
2003 - 2008 USA; Lead Geophysicist & Global Inversion Consultant
• As key member of Reservoir Inversion Team, delivered more than 50 AvO, 4D, and seismic characterization projects for exploration and development projects.
• Collaborated with internal research team to streamline seismic inversion workflows, particularly the use of seismic constraints in static geological modelling.
• Provided QC for in-house and external contractors for seismic processing.
2000 - 2003 Malaysia; Principal QI Geophysicist
• Initiated and supervised 4D studies on oil and gas fields. Accurately assessed infill-drilling opportunities, demonstrating the use of 4D seismic in carbonate fields.
• Coached local Malaysian staff to improve technical skills and efficacy.
1997-2000 UK; Senior Production Seismologist
• Discovered Curlew D South oil field, first oil was produced within 10 months of beginning the study.
• Increased reserves of Auk Field by 55mmstb by using seismic inversion to identify 10 additional infill targets - the seismic interpretation was validated by drilling in 1999.
